Hiking is terrific any time during Spring, Fall and Winter.  In the Summer, morning hiking is recommended.   This area is considered high desert country so we recommend you take sunblock, a hat, sturdy shoes and drinking water and munchies as you explore.  Of course, take a camera or sketch pad as well!   Many of the "trails" are historical roads or cattle paths.  The difficulty of hikes can vary from "easy" to "strenuous" so there's something for everyone!  We can help you select hikes for the best scenery, most sights, or just an easy stroll to ensure you're able to enjoy a piece of New Mexican enchantment.

Mountain Bike?  Surrounding trails offer a challenge and great views or you can take a leisurely ride along the nearby Rio Grande River.

Golf?  Bring your clubs, beautiful courses await!

On to Santa Fe?  Stay with Aunt Pauline and avoid the hassle of driving and the high lodging costs.  Only 30 minutes from town, Aunt Pauline can provide you with maps and directions on the most direct routes to the best tourist destinations and quiet hip spots in town!

Spending more than a few days with us? Travel on to Taos to see some New Mexican artistry and experience the mountains or spend some time on Gold Ave and busy, metropolitan Albuquerque!  Both trips less than 1.5 hours from our door step.

Weather?  The high dry climate brings us sunny days, and three seasons:   "t-shirt weather", late spring through early fall; "sweat-shirt weather", spring and fall; and "jacket weather", winter.  Usually a jacket is all one needs in the winter.  However, we can get cold or snowy enough for a hat and gloves as well.  Santa Fe averages 9" of rain annually.

At Aunt Pauline's you'll never feel like you've left home!  With it's cozy-charm and fully-furnished convenience, relax for a few days in this private, rural retreat or return home after days spent sightseeing to a home-cooked meal and your own living room!

Guests have access to their own Wi-Fi internet access, washer and dryer, satellite TV, and private drive.

Aunt Pauline's Guest House has a fully furnished kitchen with top of the line, new appliances and all of the dishes and cutlery you might need to prepare your own homemade dinner!

The full-bath is stocked with luxurious bath linens, so truly all you need for your New Mexican get-away is a suitcase and yourself prepared to have an amazing vacation!
