It is with great anticipation that we prepare for our 2009 season! Contact us today for information on local festivities and excursions you can't miss during your stay at Aunt Pauline's!
Pleased to meet you! We are Pauline and Gary Hass, a retired couple who when not working here on site enjoy spending time chasing down antiques and auctions or a good fishing spot on the open road!
Gary is a retired truck driver and accomplished woodsmith. He spends a lot of time in the shop either restoring treasures we've found on our travels or designing custom furniture for local clientele.
Pauline enjoys working outdoors from the break of dawn to dusk from Spring through Fall. When the weather turns chilly again, she prefers to stay in catching up on her baking, cooking, sewing and reading. A local for over 30 years, Pauline knows all the "ins-and-outs" of the area and frequents the local concerts and the Santa Fe Opera when time allows.
When the weather cooperates, Pauline and Gary love to take the boat out to a nearby lake and "pretend" to fish...it always takes longer to prepare for the trip than it takes to catch a few! The effort is always worth it however, as the lakes are abundant with Rainbow Trout and Kokanee Salmon that make a wonderful dinner from time to time!
While Pauline and Gary live a laid back life, they suffer from a condition known as "chronic wanderlust"! At least twice a year they hook on the 5th-Wheel trailer and travel to a new clocation to see new country, meet new people, experience different climates and savor new foods. Over the years they have been blessed with meeting some wonderful people and establishing some very good friends whom we have kept in touch with at reunions or RV trips. However snowbirds they're not as the Santa Fe winters are fairly mild and they love participating their own wonderful local traditions during the holiday season. The Hispanic and Native American Indian culture celebrations are worth staying home for-not to mention the most important visits of all, those with their kids and grand children!
